Sunday - Question
I am planning to come to the autocross on Sunday.
A few questions:
Should I use street tires?
Can I rent a helmet from someone?
I have a Halon FireX so I'm okay there.
I will have my PCA card.
7:30 at Devans.
Any thoughts for a first timer?

Chris, It's great to have first timers. This will be the most fun you've had in your car, well. maybe,
Loaner helmets are available (maybe ten different ones)
Street tires - OK
Your car will have to pass a "tech" inspection on site, mostly a throttle cable and lug nut check and your -ok
Don't need an extinguisher or any special equipment, AX is a "run what'cha brung" kinda thing.
This is not a very formal thing, PCA card saves you $5 and gauranties a spot over non-PCA'ers. Use the website to determine what class your gonna run in, even this is a honor system, so really doesn't matter.
The weather is gonna be chilly but nice, so alot of extra gear not nessecary.
I usually bring a few tools, oil, tire gauge, windex, small folding chair, some snacks. My first AX I just showed up, last minute and watched everyone then asked if I could run? they threw me a brain bucket and said get in line overthere. I took fastest first-timer of the day! (probably the only one there!) Look me up when you get there.
