Default Track Day - April 23rd New Jersey Motorsports Park

Anyone attending (or want to attend) the April 23rd track day at New Jersey Motorsports Park, Millville NJ? Looks like a great day at the track with classroom instruction and four 20 minute sessions out on the track. $175 Three levels of driving (beginner, intermediate, advanced).

I'm taking a 2002 911. I thought coordinating with some fellow Rennlisters might make the experience a bit more enjoyable. You'll get to meet a couple of people from the board and you never know when you might need to borrow tools, get some advice, or share supplies.

Hi Dan,
The event is organized by New Jersey Motorsport Park. This is just one type of event "progressive paced laps." Not everyone is ready for all out racing at top speed the first time they enter a track with their street car. Even with the progressive paced laps there are three levels of driving: beginner, intermediate, and experienced (passing allowed). In the experienced group you are going well over 100 mph. The tracks are not ovals. Lightning Raceway is a 1.9 mile circuit, the other track Thunderbolt is a 2.25 mile circuit.

$175 is not bad for 4 x 20 minute sessions (an hour and 20 minutes of actual driving) plus multiple classroom instruction sessions.

All out racing is also available for $295.

Did you end up going to this?

This looks like a good event for a beginner looking to experience a track day. Their calendar shows one of these events every month.
