Recommended audio installer in Long Island, NY
Hi all - Im looking to have someone install an aftermarket Bluetooth receiver in the dashboard and replace 4 of the interior speakers (dashboard and rear, not the door speakers) using the stock amp and wiring, etc. I have all the parts and even bought an adapter kit from JMG to make the speaker swap a plug and play event. The car is a 2000 911 Cabriolet.
The shop I used to go to is telling me that "on a porsche" it will take 2 hours to install the receiver and multiple hours to swap the speakers. From what Ive read I thought the front speakers pop out with just a few screws and not sure about the rear but I wouldnt think it would be that complicated to take the trim off. Thought it would be around 2 hours total, not 5-6 hours total.
Can anyone recommend a place that 1) is familiar with 911s (996 specifically); and 2) is cool with installing stuff I bought on my own and not overcharging on the labor?
thanks
