Default Metro NY PCA trip to the Hershey Swap Meet 4/19/2014

The Metro NY PCA is running an unofficial Road Trip to the Hershey Swap meet. Some people are staying overnight and some people are leaving early Saturday morning. We are trying to organize a caravan and a corral at the meet. Please reply to this post if interested or contact metrotreks@gmail.com.

You can also contact Chuck Bernstein at Chuckdbernstein@gmail.com. I would be coming from LI.

Thanks for your interest, Chuck Metro NY PCA Board Member

Anyone renting a vendor spot that would like to share fees?

We can split time working the booth as well.

I have enough items to fill a card table.

Please PM me.

Thanks

I have a room booked in Harrisburg for Friday night. Driving out Saturday morning so early may be too much.

Chuck, i live in Oyster Bay. I was planning on leaving around 0500-0530 depending when i roll out of bed. I havent confirmed with them yet, but a few other Metro guys were thinking of heading out the morning of.

If your heading out the night before, perhaps we can caravan back saturday.

Question, is this worthwhile for someone with a 997.2 GT3RS or is this a better venue for vintage cars?

Thanks

The whole Porsche world shows. You won't really find parts for your car but you could meet other enthusiasts, buy some memorabilia and take a road trip,

I mostly go because its a big Porsche car show and to chat with a few guys on the forum from other states. I browse the swap meet and on a few occasions found some hard to find parts.

Really looking forward to pulling in this year with all the purists hating on the push rod V8 now under the hood .

I'll be heading down on Friday afternoon, but would be interested in a caravan on the way back. I usually leave around 1-2PM.

What are your plans guys?

Ilko, I may be leaving Friday afternoon from lower Manhattan if you want to head out together? Not sure if I can get out that early maybe 2:30 - 3:00 pm. The weather will also affect my decision to go down.

That might work very well Chuck. Let's touch base on Wednesday or Thursday of next week.
