Please see thread in 996 forum; but, general gist is that they are recommending some additional items even though I have not hit the mileage (60K service while my car has 44K, and replacing clutch, etc.). Mine is a 2002 996 3.6L.
How has your experience been with this shop? Is it a good place to use; or, am I better off using an independent mechanic? I know their 'parts' prices are much higher ...
I clubraced with BMWCCA and am somewhat familiar with cars (especially BMW's and M3's) - just not with porsche's that much. Was rather surprised at their clutch suggestion - it feels fine, no slipping, engagement seems good, etc.
Do you guys purchase your parts or let the shop do it? If so, where do you purchase your parts from?
TIA
