FYI, Richard says he can't handle 18" wheels/tires. - he sounds like a great guy and I'll take the car to him after the warranty goes away. He suggested Good Roads in Ft Lauderdale - I also heard that Tire Hut on Sunrise is ok. Any feedback?

It's ashame Richard can't help you, because he really cares about his work. If you live by the ICW you must be close to me. I live by the curve of North Lake.

Believe it or not - there is a Firestone store that specializes in BMW, Porsche and exotics. They are certified to install RE050 runflats on Bimmers and are actually very competitive. (I had them put the RE050s on my 645 and they were cheaper than buying from Tire Rack and having a local shop put them on).

A) DO NOT GO TO GOOD ROADS! (Unless purchasing spinners for your hoop-de...or you just want to stare at the incredible rack on the babe in accounting.)
B) How did my "Porsche Row" thread turn into a tire thread?

Hmmmm, nice rack on sales girl....
Jerry - I'm on Washington Street, almost across from the entry to Harbour Islands (where housewife hotties drive Boxsters and have no clue they are ina Porsche. So sad, but an improvement over last year's Hummer Parade). You can't miss my house - it's one of the few remaining (relatively) little houses left in a sea of newly-built McMansions and it has a burgundy Grand Wagoneer moored in the driveway most of the time. The 996 lives outside (I turned the garage into a gym and don't have room to move all the stuff into the house) under a cover.
I'll let you guys know what Tire Hut says - supoosedly they can beat Tire Rack prices.

Brian,
Is the Firestone place up your way? Maybe the Werewife and I can combine a trip for new tires with lunch at Bostons. If so, we'll see if you and your child bride can come on by
(We like her. You? - yuck.)

Crap - I just realized I will not be back from Louisville, Kentucky (I'll be attending the Mid America Truck Show, looking for new markets for our stuff) until late afternoon on the 24th. I'll have to catch up with you guys later - perhaps at our upcoming GTG at the Hard Rock (details to follow).
