I need to have a tire plug repair done - any recommendations for DC area?

Depends upon where you live. I live in Potomac and have had great results from the local BP station at the intersection of Falls Rd/River Rd. Pape is a whiz at mounting/reparing tires, and they seem to have the state-of-the-art systems too.

I'd suggest you look into a patch rather than a plug. I believe the at least one tire manufacturer (is it Michelin?) will still warrant their speed ratings on properly patched tires.
