Cracked Block 991.2-Where for repiar eval?
As the title suggests my 991.2 4S has a cracked block. Before I drop 25k on a refurbed engine I would like to see if it can be repaired. I am in central NJ and looking for a recommendation on someone you would trust and who could/would do that work. Any help is greatly appreciated. Never tracked, not modified, only 38k on the odometer and regular service.

Cracked blocK? I think you're all in for new engine at this point. CNJ is a wide area. Bodymotion in Ocean Township is worth a call if that's convenient geography.

If its just the oil pan area it can be welded up. I did it with a m96 motor. An indy told of the older water cooled cars (996) cars hit man hole covers and rr tracks and were damaged. He had welded a bunch up over the years.
