Kent CT - a great ride up the West side of CT, once far enough North, Rt 7 runs alongside the Housatonic. top down extra +

Storm King - very close to the USMA, at one point there is a twisty, elevated mountain road-like experience that--for just a moment, with a little imagination--feels like it could be in Europe. Not bad for close to home
