Hi all,

New member looking at a 718 Cayman purchase from a private party. Any recommendations for a good PPI place? I talked to Formula Motorsports yesterday and they wanted $500 and said it would take 45 minutes. Seemed steep.

Any input appreciated!

Thanks for the suggestion. Ended up chatting with Formula Motorsports again and got the sense they do thorough work. Given age and mileage (plus that it’s an hour drive for the seller to him), he suggested just taking it to one of the local Porsche dealers. He recommended Ray Catena over Brooklyn since apparently Brooklyn is not a full dealership. So that’s my plan.

You can also have him check RSW. It's a quick shot out Rt.22 from Jersey City. I'd personally go there over Ray Catena. I've never been a fan of that dealership. And indy is probably gonna be half of the dealership.

Thanks for the suggestion. They’re a bit further out and trying to avoid inconveniencing seller too much. Have you taken any cars to RSW Euro for a PPI? Would maybe consider going if you have first hand experience you could share.

I've used them for service and a lot of the local guys have as well. Clean facility. Honest. Never any complaints w/ them. I bought my 981 up in New Hampshire, otherwise I would've used them for my PPI.
