Frequency For Caravans To Swap Meet
In case anyone wants to tune in when passing a caravan to the swap meet, our group will be on Ch 16, on the FRS that most everyone has. It would be interesting to hear from everyone and anyone.
Tune in from early AM to early afternoon, and PASS IT ON! It will be a good way to keep in touch with other P Car owners.
Channel 16, Channel 16!!!
Thanks!

Hope to be leaving central Maryland area in the am,
can meet up with folx on I-83 between Baltimore
beltway (I-695) and the Mason Dixon Line.
Don't know if regional PCA is doing a caravan this
year or not; going on a vintage drive/dine this
Saturday so I might have an update after that.

POCONO Region PCA Caravan, Pennsylvania
Another quick note: Our region will be meeting at the Perkins Rest. just off I-81 and Rt 309 in Wilkes-Barre at 6:30 AM Saturday. We'll leave at 7:30 AM and stop at exit 145 (old 41) (I-81) in West Hazleton and pick up the rest of our group from the middle half of NEPA. Meet in the Hampton/Top of the Eighties parking lot around 8:00 AM. We'll leave when the first group arrives from Wilkes-Barre. For those who have FRS, please use CH 16 .
THANKS

Warning, PA Cleanup on Saturday!
I just received an e-mail from the PSP. Quote:
"Thousands of civic-minded volunteers will be out in full force this Saturday picking up trash along interstates, highways and other routes," said Transportation Secretary Allen D. Biehler, P.E. "For their continued safety, we ask motorists to be alert and slow down when approaching a highway cleanup in progress. We are asking motorists to be especially watchful for young children in cleanup areas. "
Pennsylvania State Police Commissioner Jeffrey B. Miller said his department will be watching for unsafe speeds or careless driving, especially near clean-up crews.
"The Pennsylvania State Police want to remind motorists to be cautious as they travel the highways when crews are out picking up trash," said Commissioner Miller. "The State Police will be out on patrol to ensure the safety of our cleanup crews."
Be careful on your way to the swap meet, both speed wise and worker safety.
The PSP HATE speeders in a work zone AND will move mountains to get you. Too many workers across the state have died because of careless drivers.
Have a safe trip, the swap meet will be there when you arrive!
