Default Dashboard abbreviations

I feel stupid for posting this, but I need some help deciphering two abbreviations on my sim racing digital dash. In the bottom right corner of the display, there is a letter H and a letter D. Each one has a status bar below it that moves up and down during the race. I can’t figure out what these represent. I’m asking the racing and sim racing experts for some help today…

At first I thought the H might be for yellow flags and such, but it is a status bar that moves during races. I thought that D might have something to do with either tire deg or car damage, but it also moves and there are other readouts for tire wear and temperature. What could this be?

Edit: I’ll add that there are other displays for hazards (flags) and for DRS activation.

Any help is appreciated.

Maybe battery related? Harvest and Deploy?

Yes, this particular dash is used in a modern F1 car.

Change your energy management strategy mid-race and see if the “harvest” and “deploy” gauges change accordingly.

I figured it out.

The ERS bar shows the total battery state of charge, as well as the deployment mode that you’ve selected (overtake, hotlap, etc). The H bar shows how much harvesting is taking place from the MGU-K on the current lap. This is capped at a certain limit and it won’t allow MGU-K charging beyond that cap. It resets as soon as a new lap begins. Recharging via MGU-H is always available and not capped. The D bar shows how much battery power has been deployed on the current lap. This is limited to 33 seconds of deployment per lap, so once that number is reached then no further deployment is possible regardless of the overall battery state of charge. This also resets at the beginning of a new lap.

Overall, I think this will be useful information in Formula 1 sim races. I’ve primarily been watching my battery state of charge, but this next level of information will be helpful to maximize performance.
