There wear on ours occurred with gloves used 100% of the time, so alcantara gonna alcantara!

Those cheap suede snap-on grips from Amazon work really well and last a long time. They snap pretty tight on the wheel though, so they can put a little stress on what's left of the wheel cover when you are taking them off. Probably better to cover the wheel, but the suede snap-ons will work great if you don't plan to recover.

The latest Forza Motorsport was released, I hoped in on my sim after only participating in practices and started competing in races... straight to the top of the qualifying leader boards! I understand Forza is not as competitive as the others, but it felt good and a sense of confirmation I've been coming to grips with the dynamics a sim offers vs controller.
just make sure to race in cockpit view…..enjoy the 911 GT3 touring safety car

In the case of the Fanatec wheel, it comes off. We used specialized alcantara cleaner, and brushed, but eventually it was just smooth surface.

Or, you can buy a new Porsche wheel from Fanatec for not much money. https://fanatec.com/us-en/accessorie...-gt3-cup-suede

I put this on a SimLine button and paddle mounting base to use on my SimUCube Pro.

I go through these things. I love my BMW GT2 wheel, though. I have had two for nearly a decade. May need to pony up for the M4 GT4 wheel soon.
