I have a soft brake pedal with engine off or on. I have already replaced rotors, pads, front and back lines, and brake fluid. Next is the master brake cylinder - I have studied Alldata.com and the actual master cylinder replacement doesn't appear difficult. Has anyone DIY'd this? I am interested in how PIWIS is used to recalibrate the pressure sensor after the master cylinder is installed and in the reference to the "security code" in the instructions. I do not have a PIWIS, yet, but am considering an aftermarket purchase. More specifically, the instructions are:
- after installation, the pressure sensor must be calibrated with the Porsche System Tester
-Calibrate the pressure sensor in the menu >>PSM>>Calibration>>Pressure sensor<<
-The security code is stored under menu >>PSM>>Actual values>>Security code<<The code is entered in the last four positions
