VBox Lite - CAN .ref file for 996 GT3
I purchased a VBOX Lite from a friend as an entry to data acquisition. However Racelogic doesn't seem to have a .ref file for the 996 GT3 so I can't access the CAN information like RPM and accelerator pedal information.
Does anyone know where I can get a .ref file for the 996 GT3? The generic 996 ref file doesn't work and a 996 GT3 specific .ref file isn't available on the Racelogic web site. I contacted Racelogic in the US and England but they don't have one.

Have you tried the 996 Cup ref file?

We'll have to sniff it again.
Odd, because the 996 GT3 (street) and 997.1 GT3 (street) share the same ECU.
I thought that I got it to work at one time on a 2004 996 GT3 street car. At least throttle and RPM.
Found a huge email chain with Racelogic in the UK in 2012.

Thanks ProCoach. I had thought I could get throttle and RPM. I had hoped brake pedal position as well but it sounds like that won't be possible.
I did a search last week when I couldn't get things to work. The thread below brought me to this forum and seems to indicate that the 996 GT3 is unique.

Mike's still with the company and I am still the largest individual dealer of Racelogic Video VBOX loggers in the US besides the US office itself.
The HD2 will take multiplexed CAN now, meaning the VCS Full Compound Transmit will work, AFAIK, with MoTeC.
I had a discussion today with a early 996 Cup driver and NO 996 Cup prior to 2003 will work with anything I sell (AiM, VBOX), but MoTeC will. Unfortunately, to get the MoTeC V2 video solution, you need a MoTeC logger, which of course I can supply at some significant cost.
i did get throttle and rpm from the Bosch ECU on a 2004 996 Cup car to work on Video VBOX Lite in 2011-2012, but I've changed computers a dozen times since then and need to dig it up again.
