Measuring roll with AIM SoloDL?
I'm trying to get a better grasp on swaybars' impact on roll. I see that I have channels for yaw and slope, but don't see any options for roll? Is this possible with a Solo? It seems like with a second GPS receiver I might be able to calculate it, but figured I'd test it with the braintrust here.

I've only done roll with shock pots, but you might be able to use the AiM math channel for roll in a motorcycle to get it. I haven't tried, so I don't know if it would work or not.

Also, in the new dashes and loggers, pitch and roll are measured.
Have not had luck with anything that doesn't have a gyro. No way to add one with the Solo DL.
Racelogic makes the best GPS solution using multiple receivers. See here. This is what the OEM's use for testing and validation. http://www.racelogic.co.uk/_download...0and%20Yaw.pdf

The difference between lateral g's measured with GPS and that measured with the accelerometer should give a relative measure of roll (due to the accelerometer x axis not being planar when rolling, but the GPS measuring lateral acceleration being indifferent to roll). Of course a non-flat surface will influence this as well, but lap to lap if one is making suspension adjustments, that should be removable.
