Slakker and Matt, I'd be interested an AIM solution as well. Please keep me in the loop if you develop an AIM driver.

FYI, I've ordered a CAN sniffer to see if I can capture the data. The low end sniffer market appears to be a little iffy so it may be an iterative process.

>> is present in the 21 pin AMP connector in the passenger foot well.

I'm having trouble locating the connector or these wires in the passenger side harness.
Can we verify the wires for a 1999 996 (w/ 5.2 ECU) are found in the same location as the Boxster?

No wires on the 996. You will need to insert the wires into the correct holes on the ECU connector to "create" them.

OK, file sent. Every once in awhile something works on the first try and I am usually pretty surprised. That was the case with the Microchip CAN Bus Analyzer. Loaded up flawlessly on my surface 2 w/ win8 and was very easy to use. I picked it up from Mouser for less than $100.

http://www.k2l.de/products/solutions/optolyzer-studio

Just a very sophisticated and powerful GUI for that hardware.

Nice. Although it looks like a little too much club for what I was trying to do.

Going to be awhile. We will provide the PID's to AiM and when they get around to it, it'll be integrated into a release of RS2 for the older hardware. Only way to do it.
