Default Trouble with enduros....

This weekend at Road Atlanta, I ran into an issue during a 90min enduro following a 5m pit stop midway. The mxl2 (current firmware) recorded the race prior to the pit as expected. During the stop, we cut power, refueled, restarted, and rejoined the race.

Coming up to speed, I realized the dash no longer reflected track name nor lap times. The rest of race was run this way - no lap times reported in the dash. At the end of the race, only the first half of the race was available for download.

According to the dash, there was only one session captured - the first half of the race.

Is it gone? Did it never exist? What could I have done to cause this and how can I avoid it in the future?

All other sessions on track were recorded without issue.

Does it have a session with one long lap? What do you have your settings for it to record set up for (i.e. rpm over 1000 and speed over 10 mph)? Did it give you a speed signal?

I don't remember if there was a speed signal; I do remember that GPS good was visible. The trigger is set at 2000rpm and 25mph.

Once upon a time, it was suggested that I/we should look at capturing the entire day in a test rather than one for each session on track. Is that your recommendation and where do I make that setting change?

If it had GPS signal, then try to download the long single lap (it will show a laptime of something close to the enduro) and then do a GPS Lap Insert on that session. That should get you the lap times back.

Unfortunately, downloading with RS3 right now doesn't allow you to have 1 file with multiple sessions in it.

Krista, you shouldn't have to do that. Contact Robbie (he may still be in Italy) or Josh at the Lake Elsinore office.
