GT4 VBOX Lite install with cool CAN wire taps
I used these today installing a VBOX in a friends car. They worked really well.

Those look way better than those crappy blue things or those clamshell ones.
Nice.

Use them for power and ground, too?

I'm just about to set up my car with an HD2 that I just received. Planning how to run the cables now so I'd like to ask a couple of questions if I may.
Looking at the pictures above, what is it that I see holding the cables in place across the top of the windshield??
I've also heard it that you can stuff cables under the weatherstripping around the door frame -- do you need to take that stripping off to do that...and is that easy to put back if you do pull it off all the way??
What's the strategy for placement of the GPS antenna -- good signal seems imperative for the HD2 since it's all GPS-based -- do I need to run the cable for that out to the roof somehow. Was thinking out the tailgate somehow might be good but can that be done without overly pinching the cable??

No, you don't need to remove the weatherstripping. On the inside, the rubber flange is relatively deep. Needs to be multiple wires flat next to each other instead of wrapped to fit under. Very easy to put it back if you pull it all. Pinches against the metal.
Yes, if the back hatch is used, it's worthwhile to place a thin hard rubber or plastic tube over top of the antenna lead.
