Solo DL w/981 Cayman....oil temp?
I have a 2015 981 Cayman S and Solo DL configuration_ECU 991_981_OBDII. It does not show motor oil temps. Do I need to go with the CAN connection to obtain this important data?

According to the protocol channel list, it DOES show ECU Oil Temp in the CAN connection list, NOT on the OBD-II list. Not only that, it shows ECU gearbox temp...
I will need to find a file that shows this is working before signing off that it works for sure, but if you have the ability to connect to CAN, there are MANY reasons why I would do that over OBD-II.

CAN is the better connection for speed of data and overall number of channels. It's an easy 4 wire hookup and the cables aren't expensive.
