Solo DL setup for predictive mode

Solo DL setup for predictive mode
Hey guys, I'm at Sebring for a lapping day today and trying to set the DL up in the predictive mode. Followed the instructions and selected display setup then page setup then enable / disable page setup then set Page to predictive, enabled to yes and predictive to +\- best. My problem is there is no OK button option, just down, up, change, back. How do I save this selection. Thanks!

Then use the softkeys to move through the screens (you'll see arrows above the right two buttons to move left right in the screens). If you have more trouble, call me at 603-674-3250 and I'll walk you through it.

After you turn it on and it boots up, just scroll through to the availabel screens (which will now include the +/- one) with the right (power) button until that comes up. When you push and hold to turn it off, it will start up again on that page, usually.

I wasn't able to get back on RL yesterday while at the track but saw your responses when I got home last night. I followed them and now see how to select predictive mode. Thank you for the input. I may do Chin at HMS tomorrow (depending on the weather) and give it a go. Today will be spent looking at some of the data and video from yesterday's 60+ Sebring laps. Thanks again!

+/- is updated quite a bit quicker (almost continually) than PredT and really puts front and center what works and what doesn't.
What I recommend people do is to craft two ALTERNATE strategies (lines/gear selection/geometry) and drive three (minimum) laps the best they can one way and then three the other, as consistently as possible.
Then, you can instantly see (no need to wait to see the data) what works. Or not...

Maybe I don't understand what you are saying here, but on my loggers predictive time updates continuously, as in I see it change every second or so.

I'm not being clear. For me and many of my clients, it takes quite a bit more calculation (read: time) and lacks the detail needed to quantify the extent of gain or loss in small parts of the course, which is what I use it for.

Depends on your definition of "small parts", but I can clearly see where and when I made a mistake or did better on the track using predictive timing as it gives me realtime feedback. How much time are you talking about? When exiting a corner I immediately see how good/bad I did for my current lap as soon as I have the time to look at the logger, and you see the predictive time go up continuously if you messed up corner exit for instance.

I have found that +/- works much better, is updated quicker and quantifies without calculation the gain or loss from specific exercises and tasks the drivers I work with undertake.
PredT, of course, can be selected at any time by scrolling.

In my experience and from the folks who wrote the software they all take the same amount of time. You have to calculate the predicted time to get the + or - time.

Maybe I am slower than the rest of you but with PredT, I have to add or substract the PredT from what I have been doing to calculate (in my brain) the differential. Don't have to do that with plus/minus. That's all.
Maybe my own laps are so consistent that I don't see PredT display change very much?
