Default GPS and SCHDGP question

I have an early 996 cup that came with a MXL Pista dash. I have the GPS antenna connected to the Pista dash either directly or via a databus extender. (I cant remember which and don't have the car to check right now).
I am adding a new smartycam HD GP to the system.
If I connect the smartycam to the databus, will it pickup the GPS signal that is already resident in the MXL system? Or do I need the separate smartycam GPS antenna that connects directly to the smartycam?
Thanks
Pat

The SCHD GP will get the signal from the GPS you already have.

If you don't already have the data hub, you will need one. There is only one connection on the back of the Pista and you'll have the GPS and the SCHD GP to plug in.

I'll add that you want to delete all tracks in the camera when you get it. Having tracks in both the dash and the camera can cause issues. You'll also need to revise your config for the pista to identify items for the SC like which channel is throttle and brake. Other than that, it is a very easy addition to your system
