Help!! smarty cam problems

I just got a call from AiM and they figured out what the problem was. It turns out that there was a short run of doors that had a less than optimal design. There is a **** on the door that hits a switch telling the camera when the door is open or closed. That **** wasn't aligning properly so the camera thought the door was open. Apparently the camera assumes that when the door is open that the SD Card is about to be taken out, so it writes everything to the card. In this case the camera was trying to take video and write to the card at the same time (which I guess it doesn't normally do) so it was overwhelming the processor.
They replaced the door with the new design and are sending the camera back today.
