SmartyCam 3
School me on this new unit.
Price is pretty sweet - can I hook this up to an aim dash and take rear facing video with a more classic 2.1 unit facing forwards for that video?
Whats the catch on why these are "cheap"

There are 4 versions of SmartyCam 3.
The Sport is $899 and takes a mSD card, configured through the mSD card, and no way to add an external mic (it has an internal). All config and changes are done on with the screen on the back of the camera.
The Corsa is $1399 and the form factor of the SCHD. It has USB C for config, a full size SD card, ECU Bridge built in, can take an external mic. Config is on camera is through the front display/buttons.
The GP is the bullet / recorder. It's $1899 and has the features of the Corsa plus an SDI video output.
The Dual is two bullet cameras. does real time PiP. It's like two GPs.
IMHO, the Sport is really good on a kart, ok in a car. My recommendation for a car with a top is the Corsa. It's worth the extra money for the ease of use.

Listen to Matt. Go with the Corsa. The Sport is functional, but a bit of a PITA. Just getting the card in and out requires some finesse and tiny fingers. Then you need an adapter to put card in PC. Configuring is also a pain as you pretty much have to pull the camera and do it all via the SD card. While I love the AIM SC, the Sport missed the mark. AIM should buy it back from me.

Even if you didn't get it from me, I'll work on helping you to upgrade to a Corsa if you want. I think we could have some options.
