Race car money isn't real money so I will be looking at the dual. I've actually wanted to run three cameras, front, rear and driver. Any word on that option?
So that I am not misunderstood, and in case my wife should ever get my RL password when I am dead, I have been talking about the rugby player who is in the middle row of the scrum and air-flow over my race car.

No chance on the former, although there are three-camera alternatives coming.

The first release may be end of Q2-beginning of Q3, the other three end of Q3-into Q4, at this rate.
They will ship the V2.1 and V2.2 for now when they’re complete, AFAIK.

My understanding is that will be the case, but in real time, for the higher end cameras

CAN is just not fast enough for video, but it would be great to be able to configure the cameras, logger, and dash with a single wifi connection to the dash/logger.

Wifi would be epic for me since my company laptop has all the SD and USB ports locked down so I don't bother pulling video mid-day most of the time, which is sad.

The inclusion of the data files was the understanding at PRI, but I would caution to wait for the units to be shipped.to see exactly what the end capabilities are in this regard. It has not been in print or communicated in any official capacity.

Sure it will.
Before the HD was released in 2013, the standard definition SmartyCam (plastic cone all in one) AND the GP version both exported a compressed file of the full .drk/.gpk/.rrk/.bak logging files to a folder on the mSD card simply by importing into RS2.

A shame that some are advertising this, when it is the current model that will be the one expected to land next and sold (when they are able to get the parts to finish the ones they have), for awhile.
First SC3 will be the Sport, microSD, add-on to an existing AiM logger only, less expensive than the old price of the current V2.1 all in one. Could be Q3 2022.
The other three models of the SC3 may not make it until Q4 or next year, at this rate.
A big issue is redesigning the boards and components around processors and CMOS imaging units that are available (or may be available) now.
I don't sell any equipment anymore so I have no dog in this fight, but AiM is not the only one in a pickle...

The Dual was supposed to be this summer, but it's looking like Q4 or later. I have not seen anyone advertising the Dual or offering them for sale. The most info is in the 2022 racing guide, but with the changes in component availability, I would not consider anything for certain until something is in hand.
AiM has produced product through the entire semiconductor shortages, but supply has been slow developing and variable depending on raw materials and chip shortages. There are a lot of different things in play and much of the work is behind the scenes planning for the future supply of components.

When I’m asked, my answer is “nobody knows” and that’s a fact all the way up the AIM chain. Scarcity and/or discontinued components and materials are affecting absolutely everything right now. Anything with electronic components, carbon fiber, heck even the rubber to make tires is affected.
if you need a camera, get one of the current models if you can find any (we have two SCHD 2.1 in stock but surely not for long) because it’s going to be a while until we see the SC3. Anyone who rushed right out and gave unsubstantiated timetables of when they’d be available after PRI had no real information and was just creating hype.
