The steering wheel(s) have been announced. Not here yet.
There was reference to a new SmartyCam in a beta release of the software, but that was pulled.
Nothing imminent, AFAIK.
The technical challenges of them going to 1080p with on-the-fly-rendering have proven difficult, and they are working on a LOT of different things right now, namely maintaining production.
Of course, Matt will be along in a moment talking how "great" the new camera will be...

There’s a simple way to do it, using the video and information on the SCHD card. Shown here:
Then, there is a way to combine both the logger files and the video file to make a more full featured, detailed and more frequently refreshed version of “video-synced-within-the-data-window,” but both James Colborn and I have had trouble doing that on a reliable basis, or even at all.
I do use and recommend the simple way, from the SCHD file, as the beta version continues to evolve and improve.

RS3 Analysis isn't done, but it's functional for 90% of users. The people using it realize the added power of analysis, easy of use, and other features that have been added. There were certainly some teething problems initially, but I believe they have all been fixed. I believe James' problems were months ago. In fact, he's held multiple webinars for AiM UK about using RS3A and has some different videos on functions in it. His YT channel is great.
For some people, the 6 Hz data in the SCHD files is enough for what they want and need. For others, the ability to combine a full data set with video is a key feature. If you need, I'll find the spot in a video that covers importing data and video. If you are not used to using RS2 Analysis, start right in on RS3 Analysis and you'll be ahead of the game.

Frank - come see me and Nadine at the Summit race and we can show you. Works great for us and is extremely powerful. Maybe even have Nadine do some data coaching over the weekend! Lol
(btw, did you get my email about what you want to order?)
Back OT, I really don’t understand why people are so hung up on the super high resolution thing for the SC? These are not meant to produce Hollywood studio quality video, they are a tool that most times is part of a complete system to provide the visual component of the data. IMO the resolution is just fine and completely acceptable, especially if it means I don’t have to swap chips every 30 min….

curious, what features are you looking for? I have thoughts of my own, wondering what you (and others) would like to see?

With that said, I am probably not alone in having a distaste in my mouth every time I see a little "potshot" between the two of you and I can't say it makes me want to immediately break out the credit card with either of you. I also cannot help but notice that more often than not, you seem to fire the first shot. A smiley face doesn't somehow camouflage a snide remark and at the end of the day it is a shame to see somebody as knowledgeable as you stoop to childish playground remarks.
