If Peter can't help, give me a call 603-323-9096 and I can walk you through things. This is the stuff that the dealer you get your equipment from should be ready to help you too.

Matt, you should know that not every dealer is like you or me!

It's in the other thread, but AiM is working on this and the corrected track should be in RS3 in a day or two. It will fix Pitt Race.

The updates are automatic into RS3. They still have to be transmitted to the device. There is not currently a way to know what has been updated outside of seeing that a new map is there.

That sucks. I think someone from MicroSoft is in charge of parts of AiM s/w dev.
"Let's decide what the customer wants. And just do it all for them. In the background."

Track updated, session data deleted and re-loaded. Which fixed this particular problem!
(Odd, they called the new track "PittRace ACW...". And it's run clockwise. )
Splits still don't work, but that seems to be a bigger problem with the latest beta release, or something.

I think AiM fixed/changed a lot with their approach to maps in the latest RS3A release (3.50.71), but not knowing what they changed....
I may be the guinea pig for the following odd case, and am asking for the best approach to make this work.
The following are all the same track (Summit Point Shenandoah)
TrackMap1: Supplied by AiM with S/F at point A.
TrackMap2: Created by me, copy of the above, same track layout but with S/F at point B. (This map worked fine for 1 event.)
Add, that we'll run a different configuration, with a different S/F, and in reverse, for 1 session / day. I doubt this map is available in the AiM database. (I'm not sure, because travel direction isn't shown in the maps, and doesn't seem to be a parameter the user can set when copying a map.) I'm going to assume it's not available.
I want to ignore TrackMap1.
TrackMap2, and then the reconfigured/reverse layout, are the 2 maps of importance.
How do I get good data for the above scenarios?
Is it possible without deleting/loading a specific map for each time the track layout changes?

Thanks Matt. An interesting thing I just discovered. When looking at maps in RS3A, if I change to "earth view", and zoom just right, I think it's showing map travel direction. It's not easily repeatable, but a few random clicks of reloading etc, it shows up. Notice the little arrows.

The lack of direction was a bug that should be fixed soon, if not already fixed.
There was a rather long explanation that is interesting to me, maybe boring to others! The end result is load the track with the correct start finish into the logger. If you have multiple versions of the track loaded in your device, make sure to manually pick the correct one.
In RS3 Analysis, the driven line and direction is looked at to determine the track. If the track is in the database in one direction, but you run it reverse, a new user defined track will be created with the correct direction and s/f from the AiM map. You can change the s/f in the user defined map.
So for you, if possible, make a user track before the event as you did. If you can't do that, load the track you will be at and modify the s/f after the event in RS3A.
Does this help? I'm happy to provide more details offline.
