Default New GPS09 module?

I noticed multiple AiM devices had a firmware update released on the 25th with the following change log entry:

01.36.06 Nov, 25th 2020 Added GPS09 support

Anyone know anything about this new GPS module? I was just about to place an order that would include the GPS08, but I can't find anything about the GPS09 on the AiM site to help me decide if I should wait or not worry about it.

The GPS09 is not released for sale yet. It is 25 Hz versus 10 Hz for the GPS08. It also offers about 3x the accuracy. In RS2A, it will still show as 10 Hz but will have the better accuracy. In RS3 you will see the 25 Hz. It also has a faster cold start than the already quick GPS08.

In practice, for most people it will not changed anything. If you need a device now, buy one and don't worry about it. If you can wait and it's important to you, then you can wait some. I have not seen or heard a release date, though I do have all versions of the GPS09 on order for a few months

Let me know if I can help you out with your system. I have everything in stock, configure it for you, and offer lifetime support that can't be beat.

Thanks for the quick and helpful response. I am about to make the jump from the Solo 2 DL to the Evo 5. As my local place (Wine Country Motorsports in Sonoma) has a Black Friday, deal my supplier has already been picked. I think I may have mailed you recently about a CAN compatible TPMS. I am interested in giving tyre pressure/temp monitoring a go without diving in full fat with something pricer from Izze Racing.

Shoot me a note with what Wine Country is offering for a price. Support is as important as anything on these and I know I can out support Wine Country!

I should add too - I've had a Black Friday deal for folks that if you buy a data system, you get the TPMS free! Let's talk about what you need and what fits your needs best.
