I was just going to post this! Ha!
This will be cool session and introduce everyone to the PDM units that AiM is making. There has been a lot of excitement for this and it's a really neat device (the 10" screen is killer!). It's can also be a very complicated product, so for anyone thinking about it, this will be a great session to learn how things work, how they program, and how you have to set things up. See you there!

As a bump for folks watching this thread, there have been 2 FW updates since this and some added functionality of the units. If anyone has questions - post up! I have a unit here that I can test things out for people if I haven't already done it. Wipers, start interlocks, CAN keypads, lights, etc have all been done along with using some of the PWM, soft start, and square wave features for some cool specialty applications.

It's in the latest FW and RS3 Beta release (today). Right now it goes on CAN2 with it's own tab and CAN output. The button modes are really cool and allow for some really neat configurations.

The configs can get pretty complicated with bi-directional commands (control input prompts based on single or multiple, or duration of depressing individual buttons, then controlling different colors on the button LED’s to indicate status, for instance). Pretty good stuff but time consuming.

Limited support for two specific keypads right now.

The config is really an exercise in logic and planning. It takes time to plan inputs and outputs, but execution isn't too bad when making the config. I have customers who have already completed there install and the car is up and running. It's super powerful!

As do I.
At this point, we are only scratching the surface. I’m sure it will progress well from here.

Another cool thing in the pipeline is the SAP-32. It will be just the PDM portion - 32 outputs, no logging, no 9 axis EMU, no display option. It will be strictly a PDM like the offerings from.other manufacturers. No ETA on that.
If folks have questions about the PDM or even any other AiM product, post them, email me matt@trailbrake.net, or give me a call 603-674-3250. I'm happy to help!
