Default Throttle on video question

My throttle on AIM video seems to be varying from actual input on my videos. I am using a Solo DL and Smarty Cam HD. In straight aways where I know I have it to the floor, the videos do not reflect this. I am trying to figure out is the car via stability control modulating my throttle, me not having direct wire to can and using obd causing issue or something else? I also cant get the gears to show right through obd port. I uploaded a couple pretty clean laps at Barber so I could get some input. It is a 991.2 Targa GTS with PDK and I let the car shift itself. Thanks!

Good thought on your part. Both the pedal position (what your foot is going, most important in my opinion) and throttle angle (after the nannies, at the engine) are selectable. Just go into your Solo dL config and change in the SmartyCam Stream, throttle position on the camera (left column) to pedal on the right column, save and send. If you don’t see it as an option, tick the box on lower left that says “show all channels” and try again.

I think Peter is correct. If you are using the Porsche 991-981 OBDII protocol, you have Throttle Position or Accel Position to send to the camera. The Accel position is what your foot is doing and what you want to send.

Note if you hardwire the DL, then the name of the channel you want changes to Pedal Position as Peter cited.

This video shows what you need to do. Skip to about 6 minutes in and it's doing the Smartycam functions.

For over a decade, nearly forty tracks around North America, mostly Sebring, Road Atlanta, VIR, Summit Point, New Jersey, Lime Rock and Watkins Glen. Laguna Seca most popular West Coast track with plenty of visits to COTA, Road America, Mid-Ohio and Mont Tremblant.

Now, pretty much only at VIR, where I've owned a commercial facility for more than a decade, using simulation training and detailed video/data review at the track, but not trackside. It's nice.

Ok when I make my way to doing VIR I will hit you up for sure. Barber was my focus this year (3 at barber, 1 at CMP and 1 at AMP) and I am going to give Road Atlanta a try next year. VIR possibly the following as it is not too awful far from me.

100% that.

Also, this is a great way to compare how much traction control might be doing, or how the throttle has been mapped to the engine.

Awesome! I won my race overall at Barber back in 2003 the year it opened. Had practiced on the sim for a few weeks before I went. Fun place.

I'm usually at the "pro" tracks, mostly traveling with Trans Am and tracks in the North East. Off to Indy at 6 am tomorrow and the Glen right after that.

I'm not sure how gear calculation works with PDK but with my manual GT4 running SoloDL with an OBD connection, I have to use the AiM Gear Calculation.
