dont over think it. yeah the motec adds a few grand but thats like tire expense for 1 weekend. its full resellable if necessary but it will relieve all your strain. i like twiddling with the techn, with i2pro, etc. and i hate feeling like an idiot with coswoth.
the motec then also gives you gps beacon/start/stop meaning you can sell/not have that $800 trackside transmitter, and its nicer, easier, smoother, and it pushes the beacon hit to the cosworth data stream so you cosworth will show laptimes and forecasted.
and i spent the $250 o so for the reverse camera, so one of my motec screens is the camera in the back for reversing or when racing.
spend the money, move on and get back to enjoying and not fussing about with this cosworth,

no you are right, but I did just the logger. Didnt think to use the 125c screen as a back up.
So dumb that cosworth is so difficult and no gps.
Motec it is, and almost installed and now motec joe will talk to me again..... Ha!

I’m no apologist for Cosworth, having dabbled in it since the SCCA club racing days with the Delta Lite. The learning curve is no steeper than AiM, Marelli or some others. It’s just that there aren’t good or ready learning resources available.
There are MANY good Pro team engineers well versed in Cosworth, the GPS add-on (if needed) is inexpensive, and the feature unlock is less expensive than MoTeC. That said, as a dealer, MoTeC does offer substantially more support and is much more embedded in our world.
Its been five five years since the 991.1 GT3 Cup came out with the ICD/IPS. Now all the factory cars have it. I’m still trying to put together a training seminar for Cosworth using Chris Brown or folks from Cosworth, but it’s been tough getting interest. So. Much. Hate.
I do have a used C125 with logging and Pro analysis enabled, with I/O enabled, race harness, I/O harness, button kit and GPS for $1995 shipped CONUS, if interested. Will be at VIR for SRO Setup today.
