cosworth data in new cups/clubsports
Just acquired a new to me 2018 porsche cup car.
Kindof knew how to move around in motec, can do ok with AIM
Does cosworth provide the software to run on my PC or do I have to buy it?
I assume it is on their website.

Actually, club level support is just beginning to get going. You can call Indy, but nothing happens in a hurry.
I’m in the process of finalizing my reseller status so I can offer unlock tokens, offer training and supply hardware and software options for the 991.1 GT3 Cup cars up through the current 718 Club Sport models.
If you will send me an email, I will send you a list including prices for the latest Toolbox analysis offerings (of which there are four levels) in the newly released V10 version.
The basic Lite version requires a FOC (free of charge) token, obtainable from Cosworth, to open basic files for review. It costs money for the next three more powerful versions, but I’ve only run into one of two folks that are leveraging the power of the top level of the release.
V9 is also available, but you still need a token.
Ping me and I’ll send you the current sheet from them.

Hi Peter, like Steve I'm interested in price list as well. I just added a Cosworth Dash to my '16 GT4CSMR.

ctrl L (loads a new outing)
ctrl R (replaces current outing)
ctrl H (hides current outing)
ctrl 1 brings up the outing pane on the left
ctrl 2 brings up the available channel pane
ctrl 3 brings up the channel property pane.
when you are in the avail channel pane, to search for a channel or group of channels under a certain name, you press ctrl shift 8 "name" ctrl shift 8. so the name is bookended by * so to speak.
so for example, if you want to search for all channels (logged or math) with the word keys acc in it, you press ctrl shift 8 acc ctrl shift 8 and it'll bring everything up that has acc in it. If you forget EVERYTHING else, plesae remember this one, it'll save a ton of time.
z zoooms in, backsp zooms out
D is to toggle distance / time mode.
T switches between tile to overlay in current window.
ctrl shift pg up and pg down cycles thru the laps in the outing you have loaded.
to overlay two laps of the same outing, you have to load the outing twice to get it to overlay. it's not like motec.

I've sent Steve a download link for an older version of Toolbox Lite (V7.3, free) that works fine for beginning to learn the software. I can send the latest release (V10) features and price list (7 pages), too.
Together with boxboxbox's workbook, it can get you going quite well.

Three Wheelin'
stujelly, i mussed with the cosworth for a while. having spent years with motec, the cosworth is not intuitive. its not. i've spent tons of time talking with motec joe who has said exactly the same. i just dont find it as easy to deal with, etc.
i've figured out the toolset which is easy enough, not too much to do there. but the toolbox data analysis is painful. to me at least.
after trying to figure it out for a few track days, i opted to buy a motec c125 kit they sell that snaps into that cosworth harness/CAn connections. the dash mounts very nicely to the right of the main dash, and it has GPS for laptime, and is great with setting up screens for forecasting laptimes and laptimes and wheel lockup, and other stuff you're used to doing in motec. . oh, that was the other real headache with cosworth is laptiming unless you want to use the beacon, vs more current gps timing. and even if you used the transmitter, you still had to load the file back into the toolset. it was far more involved, at least to me , than motec. so my motec 125 setup is on the can bus and when it gets a lap 'blip' signal from the gps, not only does the motec collect that, display that, update forecasted laptime, "+/-" etc. but it also sends that signal onto the cosworth data stream so you now do not any longer need the beacon to get lap signals into cosworth. for me, i use the c125 for the laptiming, forecasted and some other stuff, and of course for post-driving data analysis back at the trailer. but it also throws the lap signal onto cosworth so the dash also displays there.
that cosworth dash is wonky . they lock it up so you cant program much, you have pressures in bar, and kph not mph, and other stuff like that. but mainly, its a pain in the tush for lap timing.
after struggling, i went to the c125. originally i contemplated an L120 whichis a blind logger, no dash, same config as the c125 but nothing to see. many do that in some series where the series officials want to be able to see motec data for a host of reasons.
but opted eventually for the color dash as i felt it might have greater resale value, plus, i wanted it for the forecasting laptiming real time on the screen.
about the cost of 2 tire sets. the aggravation just reached a breaking point. now , its perfect.
