Default Aim solo2 dL ECU power connection

The aim documention shows the Can+ and Can- pin locations but doesn’t indicate where 12+ can be found on or near the ECU. I have a 997.1 that uses a Bosche ECU with a 40 pin connector.

I don't go to the ECU, recommend going to the fuse box area. The ECU color codes are the same all the way forward. Plus, no issues with extending the CAN leads...

Is it a GT3 variant?

I haven’t pulled the covers off to examine the ECU, but the AIM documention says I should find a Bosche that is the same as the 2006-2009 GT3.

Was wondering if the CAR was a 997.1 GT3? I guess it doesn't matter.

Yellow/white=CAN+ (AiM white). Black/white=CAN- (AiM blue)

Red power should be attached to an Add-a-Fuse for any of the 5A or 7.5A key-on circuits, black should be an eyelet placed under the fuse box mounting stud.

This is 987 but the same color codes work for 997.1

Thanks so much. This seems far simpler than getting to the ECU and stringing the wires all the way through the car. I have 2007 Targa 4S.

Absolutely.

The cable wires go all to one area, the excess can be coiled up behind the fuse box cover so as not to foul your feet, and the CAN/power/ground is all right there. This is true for just about every P-car connection for AiM/VBOX/Motec there is.

Enjoy!
