I repaired some rust issues on the passenger side rear wheel area and the passenger rear trunk bubble and wheels well. I think this is the last of the major rust repairs, but wont know until the paint is stripped if there is anything else to fix

Made a make shift power washing booth and pressure washed engine bay and underside. A miserable job. But it worked out well and cleaned everything for the next stage

Started sunroof delete. I used the stock sunroof as a template and added tape to make the exact pattern. I spent almost 2 hours tack welding and using shop air to cool between tachs and still got som shrinkage and minimal warp. I have to give the pros credit on how they do this and it turns out perfect. In the end, the body/paint guy will have a little extra work to make perfect.

Thank you.
This is one of my more in depth builds. I bought this car sight unseen, because not many ever come up for sale. The seller has youtube videos and comes across as a knowledgeable car guy who has a few builds under his belt.
Well, here is where a 60 year old is too trusting of the younger car building generation and there video crap......bottom line, a hack at best.......everything has to be redone and its boarder line criminal what was represented.....from what I have been told I have a solid chassis compared to the norm for a 80's Audi. All said, I am excited for the build and it will be done properly, just like my other builds.

Got my Porsche 996 calipers back from powder paint and rebuilt with new seals and pistons. AndyP here in the forum is making front and rear mounts along with parking brake mounts, which is very much appreciated, since the mounts are not available.

The things you do to get your engine built by the best. After fully dissembling the engine and then taking the block, head, oil pan a few other pieces to be fully cleaned and broken down. I reassembled the motor and built a metal cradle for the engine to sit in and then built a over kill box for everything to be shipped in. I am exhausted, but happy to finally get the motor sent off.

After finishing the rust repair, I wired brushed any areas where the undercoating was nicked and used a sealer/undercoating to patch the areas and then sprayed the entire bottom with a undercoating.

Started fitting the Coupe GT dash around roll cage. Everything has gone very well and only minimum notching was done and glove box and drivers shelf all fit great and work properly. In order to make the dash come in and out with windshield in I cut the window side corner dash pieces and made the pieces so they could reattach by magnets, the speaker grills will tie it all together when finished.

Jeff has been busy on the engine. All 5 chambers have been re-worked. The chamber face work let's flow start unobstructed as soon as valve cracks open and continue till back on its seat. Head goes out next for porting and mill work.

Fresh deck machining on your block
Next the block will get Main bearings journals with new ARP studs will be line honed for straightness and slight added bearing clearance and of course it will be digital honed with a torque plate to the new piston size and clearance specs. Will be .020 oversize or .5 mm. 81.5 bore when finished. Can't have any decent motor without fresh bores.

I build my cars to be used every day with comforts and also have performance. With that said, I purchased a very nice set of Audi A3 Sport seats out of a 2016.
The seats are fully adjustable electronically, and are heated. The A3 seats are a tight fit, but work perfectly. I had to cut out the stock mounts and fabricate new mounts for the seats......I am very happy with the install.
Stock seats in Red.
