Default Keeping polished aluminum wheels clean

Just acquired a set of polished aluminum wheels. They are very nice and I want to keep them in good shape.

What is the best way to protect and clean?

I like using Megs Hot Rims Aluminum Wheel Wash. It can remove even the toughest dirt.

Thanks to both you and "ckarlos". But I am looking for advice on keeping them in good shape and avoiding damage/oxidation as much as possible. I was thinking about applying a coat of wax. Wanted to hear from others about how they care for their polished wheels.

You can wax or seal them, even apply a ceramic coating to them after you have them all polished up. Each of the above will add a layer of protection as well as keep the oxidation at bay, ceramic coating will last the longest...

Rejex as a coating works well. Feel free to read up on it for wheel protection.

If they are the original anodised wheels the workshop manual recommends Vaseline.
