Default Waterproof Car Covers: Do they actually exist?

I have tried 3 cheaper brands from Walmart now, and have given myself 3 separate headaches.

Has anyone had experience with a good car cover brand that doesn't blatantly lie on their packaging??? I need a fully waterproof car cover for rain.... I would like to avoid going all out(for a few months) on a fitted one from Pelican.

I use the Porsche cover and it's basically waterproof. I had to keep the car in my driveway for a few months due to my wife destroying the garage with storage crap! The cover was $280 from Amazon, it seemed to be about the ave cost for a relatively better outdoor cover. I would rather spend it on a good cover rather than leave it uncovered or an ill fitted or poorly made cover that may scratch up the paint.
