Default Condition underside of leather?

I will be replacing the seat cushion of one of my cars. While I have the leather off the seat, is it adviseable to put some Leatherique on the underside of the leather to keep it hydrated? The seat is from a BMW 7 series and the leather is black Nappa. The seat has heat functionality. Thanks

I wouldn't think you would need it on the underside unless, just because you can, you do it. That area should never see wear, it just needs to be kept clean.

Agreed it's not needed but since I have access I thought putting conditioner on the underside would help to add back some moisture to the 10+ year old leather. I just don't want to accidentally hurt the leather by doing so.

All that is required to hydrate leather is water - conditioning is not required

If you have access, then go for it, can't hurt.
