Default Scratches in Leather Glove box

I used to repair leather scratches in my 924S and '84 911 but forgot how I did it. I thought it was shoe polish and leather conditioner???

Anyone have a fix for these, they aren't terrible but noticeable.

These are in my new to me 2005 911 Turbo S (996)

Thank you,

Kirk

I would try a healthy dose of leather conditioner, that might be enough moisture to expand the leather and reduce the indentations.

Good luck, it should work. I literally found some similar indentations on my drivers side door armrest two days ago and sprayed with water and wiped and it was enough to take care of most of it. I'm going to use the conditioner to take care of the rest this weekend.

My daughter in the picture is a car nut, she plays with matchbox cars and she loves going to car shows with me. That picture was taken at the Boxster release a few years ago, all the women put her into the car and took pictures. She loves going for rides in the old 911 but I limit that to the neighborhood since there are no belts in it.

Having kids that love cars is great, your wife is outnumbered and your hobby gets the support it needs!

I just received me leather conditioner and have it soaking into the scratches now. Hopefully it works, driving me crazy!

Took my boys 8 & 10 for a ride with a friend the other day. The friend gets out and says "that's the best car I'll ever be in, in my life!" Both my boys concurred! They love it as much as I do.

Thank you for your input.

What type of conditioner did you use? I would also suggest reapplying it for a few days to try to bring the leather pliability back and hopefully hydrate to a point that it swells back to normal.

That's unfortunate. Did it offer any improvement?

Anyone know of a source of a good used glove box door or new one?
