Default 1986 Porsche 930 Paint Correction-Tampa,Fl

I recently finished this 1986 Porsche 930 for my neighbor who is a General Contractor. I needed to have a couple repairs done around my house so we did a little barter deal. He worked on my house and I worked on his car. The paint was fill with swirls and RIDS. The black single stage paint was a bit tricky to work with. The curvy body lines and small tight areas did not help either. It turned out to be a 3 step process. I started with #105 on a microfiber cutting pad then to optimum hyper polish on a finishing microfiber pad finally Sonax nano polish of a black foam pad. The wheels where removed for cleaning and to repaint calipers. Wheels and intercooler polished with Meguiar’s medium and fine cut metal polish. All trim cleaned with Optimum Power Clean and treated with Car Pro PERL. Tires dressed with Optimum Opti-bond. Along with interior and engine compartment detailed everything took me around 40 to 45 hours to complete.

After around 45 hours

Thanks for looking

Great work! I couldn't believe how bad the paint and wheels looked to start. Definitely not a garage queen. Did you work on the interior?

Just estimating by the40-45 hour job involved...what would you estimate the cost was ( for bartering purposes and what a good detailer would charge) for that work? IMO, North of $2-3K?

thank you, did a little work on the interior. Conditioned the leather, vacuumed the carpet and wiped the dash and panels down.

not sure if you could get 2-3 (at least not in my area) maybe starting at $1000 but thank you
