I have a 10 BMW 5 series, and in the winter it is near impossible to clean the rims very often. After 3 years and various products, waxes etc the front rims were badly pitted. I found a product on another car care forum and decided to try. It is called Iron X, it is a paste that is supposedly ok for this application. So I cleaned the surface brake dust with Sonus, and applied the Iron X paste several times lightly, using a soft brush as well. I would let it sit in the shade for an hour or so at a time.
Now - the pitting is nearly gone, and the rims never looked better.
Will follow up with a coat of Rejex or Wheel wax, but at any rate, this is a great product
I have no affiliation with the company, just frustrated with how bad the rims look
I am posting here as I have an 07 TT, but the brake dust is not nearly as bad
