Default Detailer's Domain: BMW Z8 - Full Correction/Engine/Interior

Subject: BMW Z8
Requirements: Remove swirls and imperfections from over the years.

This was a car that was in great shape, not much needed on the inside at all. This Z8 had tons of gloss. However upon closer inspection we found the paint imperfections. Take a look at how we fixed them.

Exterior

- Wheels were prepped with Sonax Wheel Cleaner and cleaned up with various brushes
- Tires were spritzed down with Adam’s All Purpose Cleaner and washed down
- Wheel wells were cleaned up
- Washed with 1Z einszett W99
- Aquartz Iron Cut
- Wash down and rinsed
- Door jambs were cleaned up
- Nano Scrub AutoScrub
- Dried
- Tires dressed
- Masking
- Paint Measurement
- Meg's M105 with Surbuf and Griots Orbital
- Sonax 5/5 Fine Abrasive Paste - Microfiber DA Cut Pad - Griots Orbital
- Sonax 3/6 Nano Polish - Uber Green Pad - Griots Orbital
- Lusso Oro was used as a last step
- Inspection with Fenix, 3m Sun Gun, Infratech, and natural sunlight
- Wheel wells were cleaned and dressed
- Rubber and Plastics Treated
- Exterior windows and mirrors cleaned and sealed
- Exhaust tips cleaned
- Windows were autoscrubed, cleaned, and sealed

Polishing the seat backs with the Griots and Adam's 4 inch Focus Pads



Not a great shot but as you can see the mat on the left was not cleaned up and the one on the right has been cleaned with the Griots 3 inch polisher w/Uber Ultra Interior Brush and 1Z einszett Deep Cleaner

That looks fantastic!

Thanks for posting. I always seem to learn something new - like using the plastic cleaner on the carpets. Considering they are polyester or something plastic makes sense!
