Hi Guys. Has your Optimum Polish II gone watery after storage? Have you had this experience with any other products?
Just opened my Optimum Polish II after a couple of years and its gone all watery. Shaking did not help. My Optimum Polyseal and Meguiars Scratch X are fine.

Shelf-Life
Providing their contains have a tight seal, are not compromised by fractures or (air) leaks, and use at least a single stage fluorination of the plastic, so that it is resistant to petrochemical solvents; without this the sides will ‘collapse’, which is actually the solvents in the product escaping through the micro pores of the plastic.
All liquid products should be shaken well before use and stored in light resistant containers
c) Polish - technically 2 years, providing the bottle is kept closed, and the product has not separated or the solvents haven’t evaporated by leaching ( the bottle will become semi- collapsed) there should be no problem with use for three years after sale date
The fault is not with the mfg's but 'time'

I've had similar issues with P21S Shine Enhancing Paint Cleanser. It actually grows a ton of mold inside the bottle and you have to throw it out after a year. I stopped buying it after my second bottle turned green.
None of my other products have had a problem and a few have sat on the shelf for years through cold and hot.

Thanks for the input but I'm not buying the time thing. In addition to my own experience, I've spoken to a bunch of guys since I posted this, who've had products for 5, 6 years and more with no issues. I'm changing to a product with proven stability.

Even gasoline degrades over time....... Just like all of us.
Go by the cheapest crap you can find.....I'm sure it will last forever.
Do a better job of managing your inventory and you won't come off like a mooch blaming someone else for your problem.

"Bunch of guys" provided me with shelf stable alternatives rather impractical "inventory rotation" ideas and product failure rationale which I couldn't care less about.
