Stubborn glass cleaning problem
The rear glass in my 911 is a mess. It is cloudy and grubby beyond description. A PO suggested that part of the problem might be residual adhesive from window tinting that had been removed sometime in the past. He recommended that I try using brake cleaner to remove it, but it didn't really seem to work.
Does anyone have any other suggestions?
Thanks!

One you get the glass cleaned of the residue, make your own window cleaner:
1) 1 part denatured alcohol to 2 parts distilled water, in a spray bottle
2) Use dedicated "glass/window only" 100% white terry cloth towels
3) Never wash your window towels (or any car detailing towels) in soap that contain fabric softener
4) Spay one towel with cleaner
5) Clean glass
6) Polish dry with a 2nd towel
7) Glass cool to the touch, in the shade, work in small sections
