it was getting a little dirty this weekend,so i took it to a hand wash place.now my car is coverd in water spots.
the guy at the car wash said he had no idea what hapened but wanted to wax my car,i declined.
even my bezel around my headlights has water spots.

Just curious. Did you use a sealant or wax as a top coat when you did your 3-step. The reason I ask is that I did a 3-step on my wife's navy blue car and used a Carnuba as a top coat and also had spotting problems. It just wasn't robust enough as a top coat. Took the wax off and applied Menzerna Power Lock Polymer Sealant. Problem solved. No more spots. I'm sure there are other sealants that will do the trick. Might be an easy fix.

I use a dilution of half water/half vinegar. That has always worked for me in situations of removing hard water spots.

I did not, but with a microfiber, I wiped it on the affected areas. If you can, put the mixture in a spray bottle and use it as you would a spray detailer. If it doesn't work, add more vinegar. I typically use straight vinegar, but some people are afraid that it would harm the paint. I've never had a problem.

Hope that it works for you.

Straight vinegar won't harm the paint if it's not allowed to sit on the paint very long.

Try a simple paint cleanser first. Do a test area with paint cleanser or a mild polish. If you just detailed and it has a good wax on it, the spots should come off with little effort. Then wax again.
