Default Anyone know anything about this "cquartz" sealant?

I just saw this stuff at detailers domain and was thinking of trying it.

Any things I should be concerned about?

Here is the makers website http://cquartz.com/

If Phil is selling it on his web site, Detailers Domain, it's gotta be good! Phil does not screw around. Great detailer, great seller, great Rennlister. Send him a PM.

Yep, I actually found a Canadian supplier, so that will be easier for me with that item, but I also now see that Optimum has finally released their "Opti-Coat" product as well (direct from optimum's website) So I'm going to get both and see how they do. Both sound like the same thing, but we shall see.

Thanks.

I did some reading on the difference between cquartz and opti-coat.

opti-coat is different apparently, it's cross linked pre-polymer blah blah, where as the jive for the cquartz is that it's "nano particles". Haha. We shall see.

In a few weeks I'll be ready to do spring polishing and I'll see which one I apply, or maybe I'll do cquarts on one side and opti-coat on the other and see how they do.

Both look like they will be good.

I use opti-seal and I'm really happy with the stuff, so I now want to see if these super coatings are going to make a difference for me on my daily driver 911.

Default CQUARTZ

I use Cquartz on my wheels and front bumper. Just rinsing with water and all the dirt falls off without touching. Adds protection for my front bumper as well. I still like to wax, so I dont use Cquartz on other painted parts.

C.Quartz is easier to apply than Opti-Coat (you could also try Opti-Seal as easy a the C.Quartz as far as application)

Both different 'types' of product, C.Quartz is a silica, Opti-Coat and Opti-Seal are polymers

Interesting. I wonder how the C.Quartz compares with Rej-X (which seems to work quite well IMHO). Anyone have experience with both?
