Default Removing Over-spray from Tires?

Previous owner refinished a wheel and failed to properly protect the tires. Is their a good way to remove the over-spray without damaging the tires?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
John

You might try an APC and medium stiff brush and a good amount of elbow grease. OTOH, you can take up drifting and work on needing a new set of tires sooner rather than later!

APC? All Purpose cleaner? Will that be strong enough?

Dunno. I'd be hesitant to try a solvent or mineral spirits though. I've never had to deal with overspray removal from tires.

This product works like a charm:

After cleaning the tires and wheels with a wheel cleaner, dry the tires. Spray the 3M product directly on the tire and wipe with mf towel. Do this outdoors or well-ventilated area. Then apply a good water-based tire conditioner

Hope this helps.

Moe,

Thanks for chiming in.

If the wheel has been re-sprayed should I mask it off to avoid damaging the paint surface of the wheel?

Thanks
John

Not necessary John. The paint on the wheels should be cured. It's the paint on the rubber that should come off easily.

Tarminator works great also, $4.99 @ most auto part stores I buy it by the case.
