My new 40th first polish
I didn't have but about 4 hours to work on the car so I got it washed up (it was filthy before) and pulled it into the work bay and got crackin'. Took a few pics with the point n shoot while I was taking breaks but I'm still figuring out the whole polish picture taking thing.
Once the car was washed and clayed I did the following steps:
IPA wipedown
Menzerna Intensive Polish on a green LC polish pad
Dust clean-up with Optimum No-Rinse mixed as a quick detail.
IPA wipe down again for inspection and pictures.
Menzerna Micro Polish on white LC fine polishing pad
After cleaning the polish up again I hit the hood with the blue LC finishing pad and micro polish...I didn't bother on the quarter panels but we'll see if I can tell any difference once I get to see the car in real daylight.
After a good clean-up and IPA wipedown I applied Lusso Oro with a MF applicator pad. Put it on good and thin, waited 60 seconds per instructions and buffed it right off using the green "no name" MF towel. It is great for buffing off wax but it did leave a bit of lint behind.
I was only able to do the hood and the quarter panels. I took my good sweet time as I have not polished this car before and I didn't want to mess it up! Guess I will have to get the rest of the car some other time.
Befores not too bad but 5 years of swirls:

After intensive polish:
Note that only the hood has been polished in these pictures. You can also see some of the touch-up paint that was applied by the PO for rock chips.
