Default BMW M3 Paint Correction Detail

This one needed a bit of work....compound was needed to lighten up the etch marks but that being said they were not removed completely. The etching was in there good.

We had Menzerna and a Paint Guy look at this car when they were in for meetings and they both agreed that this car needed to be wetsanded down and re cleared it was pretty bad.

Really terrific work and photos, as always!

This may be the wrong thread for this question, but why did those particular rotors rust so quickly from the wash water? Would that rust transfer/stick to the wheel when you used the brakes?

The rust dust will coat the ID of the wheel but it won't stick on there. It will wash off the next go round or you can use a microfiber or other cloth to wipe it off.

Not much you can do about rotor rust other than removing the wheels to clean them and then drying the rotors before putting the wheel back on.
