The trunk was repainted on my car a while ago and just looks cloudy or milky compared to the rest. Tried today with cleaner, polish and wax and better just not as good as the original paint. Any ideas on how to fix it?

It could be that the previous coat of paint had not cured before the next coat was applied and / or there is moisture between the coats
As eluded too a photograph is very helpful as seeing the problem (as it were) first hand is more productive than a guess or elimination of what it could be

It's called a hack respray.
Most likely due to a bad clear spray. Base coats are one thing to get down but the clear can be the tricky thing if done in a careless manner.
Most likely though it needs to be wet sanded and polished out as it may not have been properly finished out. Be watchful though of shrinkage of the clear, if that's the case then a proper respray will be needed. A competent detailer should be able to tell you and then remedy the situation for you.
