Default Looking for feedback: Jetseal 109

I'm contemplating having a local guy detail my speed yellow 993 - he comes highly recommended by several local Porsche owners.

His 'normal' product line is Meguiars but he's also recommending Jetseal 109. It costs more to use it but he's indicating that it's virtually permanent (won't have to reapply anything for years) and that it creates a very deep shine.

Opinions from someone who has used Jetseal? Is it worth an extra $150 on a detail?

Thanks much,

Rick

I have no experience with Jetseal unfortunately.

Personally I would use carnauba only on a car that doesn't see regular use. It's safe and looks fantastic.

If you are using the car regularly and it sees rain/snow then a sealant of some type is a good idea.

$150 to apply a sealant that sells for approx $2 an ounce?

I tested it once and got approx 3 months out of it. Looks where average IMO.

I'm thinking about trying Jetseal on my wife's car because I've heard good things about it. But I'd doubt any product would last for years without having to reapply. That sounds like the jibberish the dealership tries to say about their permaplate crap.

Jetseal is easy to apply/remove. While the car looked nice, I think it was more the prep work vs the Jetseal. Hard to tell the durability as the car isn't exposed to the elements much before I'm waxing again. I don't think I could tell the difference in look vs Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax v2.

Would you really not put anything on the car for years?
